I’ve always loved writing. So much so, that growing up in Mumbai, India, I used to run to the bookstore and buy the American and British editions of Cosmopolitan, Vogue, ELLE, Cosmogirl (RIP), and Seventeen two months late because all I wanted to do was read all the pages, look at all the fashion spreads, and learn something about the latest new product to hit the market. So, after graduating from Barnard College at Columbia University, I interned at L’Officiel India, and went on to get my Master’s in Magazine Journalism at NYU.
A slew of internships and jobs followed. I started writing for publications I could have only dreamed of, like Shape, Bon Appetit, Domino, and Conde Nast Traveler. But then, I injured my knee — not once, but twice — and became immersed in how nutrition, fitness, and mental health intersect, and why we live the way we do. I soon started writing primarily for wellness magazines, focusing on trends, explainers, and how-tos, and then went on to writing and editing copy for wellness brands that knew what they wanted to say, but weren’t quite sure how to actually put their message into words.
I now work across platforms with wellness brands and magazines to create copy, edit existing stories, and strategize their next moves and projects. From newsletters to social media collaborations, I do it all, and even help wellness brands partner with one another for specific, experiential events.
Many years later, my work has been featured in several global publications and brands, including Equinox, AG1, Calm, AARMY, Women’s Health, GQ, Men’s Fitness, CNN, Allure, SELF, and many more.
I'm also the founder of The Wellness Edit, a boutique narrative and creative strategy studio for early-stage and growth-phase wellness brands. I shape their narrative voice, brand strategy, visuals, and social media.
